It’s hard to be light when your heart is heavy. This is why we bear each others burdens with the comfort that we know through the sorrows that we have. It is not necessarily in word or deed but the knowing presence of kinship, shared endurance through grief or joy.
I’m craving a cup of hot tea and a couple squares of dark chocolate. Why did I not purchase chocolate on my last shopping trip? Lord, please direct my steps to a forgotten chocolate stash. AMEN. There is lightness in the darkness, God shown it there.
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
