I haven’t been “myself” and C. said to me this morning, “don’t worry, you’ll get your mojo back.” So I have been pondering my mojo. I looked up the word in the urban dictionary and although it seems to have originated in Africa pertaining to charm or casting spells, it has also emerged as slang for self-confidence and assuredness, and I’m fairly certain this is the reference he intended. So, about my mojo, can I really lose it? When we are all uniquely formed in our mothers’ wombs are we instilled with mojo? I have to chuckle as my very questions (and believe me, this is the scaled back list) enlighten my mojo, it was there all the time.
Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? (and “these things” are a gracious read in the previous verses!)
